We almost feel sorry for Car of the Year finalist, the Giulietta. It’s like one of those insanely beautiful women; everyone assumes she’s brain dead. The same can be said of this awesome Alfa – many people comment that it’s a gorgeous car … but. The ‘buts’ generally entail Alfa’s reputation for producing gorgeous but unreliable cars – and, to be fair, this was a valid comment with previous models. But the Giulietta comes with a six-year/90 000km service plan (1.4-litre models). Also, Alfa’s reliability has certainly improved in recent years.
