Citroën’s C4 Cactus – new concept will use just 2,L/100km
Faced with the ever increasing environmental requirements and economic pressures, many customers today see fuel consumption as a key concern and rightly so! As a result, Citroën is applying its creativity and technology to a new challenge with the C4 Cactus Airflow 2l concept, which will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.
Just as a cactus is extremely efficient with its resources, so is the new C4 Cactus. With the new Airflow 2l concept, Citroën delivers breakthrough fuel consumption of only 2l/100km. The objective of this concept car is to reduce the impact of vehicle running costs on household expenditure and to reduce the eco-footprint of car travel.
The Citroën’s C4 Cactus has been created using new research and technology to optimise fuel efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint. The results are an impressive: 20% improvement in aerodynamics; lower rolling resistance with “tall & narrow” tyres; lighter parts resulting in a 100 kg reduction in overall vehicle weight and Hybrid Air technology. Citroën has made a breakthrough in the world of expensive car costs. Let’s hope this concept inspires all other car manufacturers to do the same.
