Car Reviews

backFord Focus

It’s hard to find a sedan than is prettier than its hatch sibling; the booted car tends be the ugly stepsister in the design stakes. Not with the Focus; the sedan derivative is a real head-turner, which wowed the judges at this year’s Car of the Year (it was a finalist). It is full of technology too – the 2.0-litre turbodiesel model (our preferred derivative) emits a mere 139g/km of CO2 and uses just 5,3 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres. And, thanks to a really clever system called Torque Vectoring Control, the Focus corners like it’s on rails.
