What does the colour of your car say about you?
The kind of car you drive says a lot about you. We subconsciously choose the colour and design of a car that reflects who we are.
There is nothing random or spontaneous about choosing a car, just as is the case with the clothes you wear.
Whether it’s new cars on the market or pre-owned cars in South Africa, the colour and style design of your beloved wagon, is a reflection of yourself.
Your car colour:
White – Driving a white car can present a clean, fresh, outlook on life. You tend to pay close attention to detail and you thrive on keeping your baby clean.
Silver – You are very laid back, can subtly infiltrate the crowd and steal the attention of the host. What you do best is fit in with those around you and can easily come down to the level of your peers even if you’re not at all like them.
Red – You love the thrill of speed and action. No matter what people say you project confidence like it’s nobody’s business.
Black – You exude power and class, no wonder black is the most popular colour for luxury vehicles. You will not stand for being easily manipulated and you enjoy the classics.
Keep your car colour from fading
Unfortunately we can’t keep our car’s colour from fading. The sun and harmful chemicals impact the protection of your vehicle’s colouring. However, we can’t stop the discolouring from taking place, but we can slow down the process. If a respray is too heavy on your pocket, you can take simple measures to keep the car’s colour from fading.
Make like a vampire and stay away from the sun
The most well-known culprit of fading the paint on your car is the sun. Ultraviolet rays can cause a lot of discolouration, so if you’re going to park the car, do so in shaded areas. Invest in a car cover that has ultraviolet protection, if you’re going to park for long hours in the sun.
Wax on, wax off
Give your car a good wax as an alternative to always polishing it. Unlike polish, waxing your car won’t remove the surface coat. Instead, it adds an extra layer over your car’s finish that provides additional protection. But be careful not to overdo it, as to not cause a build up over time that can affect the look of the car. Be sure not to use harsh chemicals when washing your car, it will most certainly fade the colour.
A good driver is not only safe on the road, but also safe on her car. Your personality is a reflection of your vehicle, so don’t send the wrong signals by driving a faded colour car. Protect don’t neglect.
