The Lexus brand is one of those mysteries. It’s like the Loch Ness Monster of motoring. We say this because it is the premium brand within the Toyota stable – like Audi in the Volkswagen world. Audi sells faster than hot cross buns at Easter; Lexus – on the other hand – is not a brilliant diamond in the Toyota South Africa crown. We can only assume it’s due to marketing – or a lack thereof. Because there is certainly nothing wrong with the product. The IS350, for instance, is a superb executive car. Go try it. We don’t think you will be disappointed.
