Finally, Saudi Arabia agrees to let women drive!
Until now, Saudi Arabia has been the only country in the world to ban women from getting behind the wheel. On Tuesday (26 September 2017) the Saudi Foreign ministry said on Twitter that a royal decree had been announced that will allow all women in the country to drive.

According to CNN, a committee has been formed to implement the ruling and it will present recommendations within 30 days after which point the government will have until June 24, 2018, to implement the new decree.

“A victory for women and human rights”
This comes as great news to Saudi’s female population who are now more eager to get behind the wheel than ever.
CNN also reported that Prince Khaled bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the US said, “this is a historic big day in our kingdom,” on Tuesday in a briefing with reporters.
