Harley-Davidson raises R100 000 for cancer awareness
Earlier this week, Harley-Davidson Africa handed over a cheque of R100 000 to More Balls Than Most, a testicular and prostate cancer awareness organization, at the Harley-Davidson Tygervalley dealership in Cape Town. The money was raised through the Snors for a Cause Motorcade which took place on 1 November at all 10 Harley-Davidson authorized dealerships in South Africa. Anyone had the opportunity to contribute to this cause by buying a limited edition Snors for a Cause buff.
“We are grateful that Harley-Davidson Africa chose More Balls Than Most as the beneficiary for the first Snors for a Cause campaign. We will use the money donated for Testicular and Prostate Cancer education and awareness at schools, communities and events in the interests of early detection and prevention of prostate and testicular cancer, says Trisch Rosema, More Balls Than Most representative.
The Snors for a Cause Motorcade 2014 was the first parade taking place on the same day at the same time at 10 locations throughout South Africa. The objective for the first Snors for a Cause Motorcade was to raise R50 000 for the beneficiary, More Balls Than Most. As a result of the overwhelming support from the 10 dealerships and their communities the donation reached R100 000 which is double the initial goal.
