The First Lady Returns to V8 Supercars

On Saturday the 5th of November, the First Lady of South African Motorsport, Clare Vale returns to the track in her Gatorback RAM Mustang to compete as part of the WesBank Super Series at Zwartkops Raceway. She has not competed in the V8 class since the final Kyalami event in November last year. Instead, she has been focussing on racing her Gatorback RAM Porsche 917 in the Execuline ISP class and developing her Gatorback RAM Mustang drift car, which will be making its debut later this month as part of the SupaDrift series.

Clare has been fast and consistent in the Mustang, and says she’s looking forward to showing the V8 field that she still has plenty of pace. She has had great success with the Porsche at Zwartkops this year and really enjoys racing there.

“I’m very happy to be back in the Gatorback RAM Mustang for a WesBank V8 Supercar race,” said Clare. “I love the V8s and it’s going to be fun racing with the big boys again. Nothing beats the atmosphere of a National race meeting, and I’m looking forward to competing as close to the sharp end of the field as possible.”
