Man finds his car where he left it 40 years ago
A man from Finland was reunited with his car 40 years after deserting it when the engine stopped working.
40 years after leaving his old 1967 Ford Anglia (his first car) to rot in the forests behind his birth home in Eastern Finland, he had returned to the place where its engine finally failed completely to see if it was still there. It was.
The man explained that the engine seized to work because ”water from the radiator had gotten into the vehicle’s cooling channels and when it froze there, it cracked the engine block. The nights there can reach temperatures of -5 F (-20 C).”
The photos show a rather charming picture of a car peeking out under a significant amount of moss that had grown over it in the last four decades. It reminds us of the vintage car-graveyard in Belgium..
