What these two elephants did will make you cry
While transporting two elephants, an 18-wheeler truck became stuck as the driver pulled off of an Interstate exit in the USA. The shoulder had softened due to some recent rains.
The driver then called for assistance and according to the police, they found two elephants propping the vehicle up so that it wouldn’t tip over.
The truck was travelling from Florida to a circus in Dallas. Although it isn’t explained in the report – they had been let out. Presumably by the driver/handler out of fear that they might tip with the truck.
It was first reported that the elephants stood by the truck, preventing it to tip over by themselves. However, a closer look at the photos shows us that they were actually performing this act out of fear of being abused – as they are used to. This also put the animals in harm’s way, as it is not natural for them to carry such a heavy load.
