Win a Ford Ranger + fuel for a year!!
Ford recently announced that the Ford Ranger was South Africa’s top selling vehicle (in its category and total industry sales!) in April and you could win the chance to drive this brawny bakkie for a year, as well as R5 000 of fuel per month.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Ford Ranger in 90 secs.
With 3 095 sold, it was the second time the South African assembled vehicle had snatched top spot in the light commercial vehicle segment, with a 54% year-to-date increase in sales.
And you could get to drive a Ford Ranger for a year. But only if you’re tough enough, because the winner will have to guide the Ranger through the challenging 4×4 Odyssey adventure in the Namib from July to August this year. And win.
Are you up for it? You’ll have to hurry. South African entries need to be in by 24 May. So get yourself to a Ford dealer and take a picture of yourself in front of an Odyssey-branded Ford Ranger. (Entries close 15 May if you’re from Angola, Mozambique and Ivory Coast, in which case a photo with any Ford Ranger will do.) 40 entrants will be chosen for a ‘boot camp’ in June and from that 20 will go through to take on the Odyssey. There are also prizes for armchair adventures – sorry: Back Seat Drivers.
Find all the details and Ts&Cs at the Ranger Odyssey website.
See the Ranger take on the Amarok. ‘Trek hom, ryperd!’ LOL!
(Did the Ranger get a teeeeny bit of a headstart? Let us know what you think.)
The Ranger wasn’t the only Ford that’s been scoring with SA consumers. Sales of the Fiesta showed a 67% year-on-year increase, and the Ford EcoSport is number 1 compact SUV for the 13th month on the trot.
“Ford has broken sales records every month this year, and achieving our highest-ever market share in April is testament to the customer response to our vehicle line up in South Africa,” says Mark Kaufman, Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Service, FMCSA.
“Pricing and overall value for money are key considerations for most customers, as are safety and technology. Our current range excels in all of these areas, and this is reflected in the growing customer demand for our rapidly expanding passenger car and commercial vehicle line-up.”
