7 things you should always have with you in your car
You might have one of the most techno-savvy cars, but that doesn’t mean bad things can’t happen. Here are 7 essential things to always keep in your car, especially if you’re going on a road trip or if your car is a little old and shabby.
1. Spare Tyre – The worst thing is to get a flat tyre on the side of the road and your spare tyre is either deflated or you don’t even have one. Make sure your spare tyre is always in your car and always in good condition!
2. Tyre Changing Kit – Obviously, if you are on the side of the road with a flat tyre, you also need all the essential tools to change your tyre. These normally include a car jack, a wrench, a wheel lock and alignment studs.
3. Water – A bottle of water is always something good to keep in your car. This can be used for plenty of things, but mainly you should keep it for if your car overheats.
4. Phone and Charger – You should always keep your cell phone on you, in case of emergency. There is no point in having a phone that is flat however, so try to always have a car charger in your car as well.
5. Jumper Cables – This is always a good thing to have in case you car battery runs flat.
6. Oil – If you are one of those very responsible people, keeping a bottle of oil in your car might be a good idea.
7. Survival Kit – This is for one of those ultra emergencies, like when you are stranded in the middle of nowhere without petrol. Hopefully you won’t ever need to use it, but it’s good to have just in case. In the survival kit you should keep things such as energy bars, a blanket, a flashlight, water, etc.
