The Yaris Hybrid, which made its world debut just months ago – at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – is being launched in South Africa as this edition of WOW hits the streets. It’s like the Yaris but, in the same fashion as the Auris HSD, it employs the efficiency of Toyota’s full-hybrid powertrain, Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD). It differs from the Auris in that the engine has been downsized. This saves weight, making this greenie astoundingly economical. Toyota wants this Yaris to be the most affordable full hybrid on the market.
