SsangYong Korando

Price: From R294 995

The Korando has a particularly fascinating history; it’s listed in the Korean Guinness Book of World Records as the country’s longest surviving automotive brand (it was created back in 1974). Having said that, SsangYong isn’t a brand that’s excited us in the past; it’s been like cottage pie. Nice but not worth raving about. However the new Korando may well change that. It certainly looks the part – thanks to the talents of renowned stylist Giorgetto Giugiaro, who imparted a distinctly European flavour to this crossover vehicle. We also like its five-year/ 105 000 km service plan.
