Pregnant woman loses baby after being run over
This is just the most horrific story and one that I am sure every mother and parent out there will ache from hearing.
A pregnant women who was days away from giving birth was run over at a car wash in Pretoria. Belinda Louw (35) was sitting in a chair when one of the car washers ran her over in a car believed to be a Toyota Fortuner.
According to the Pretoria Moot Rekord and you.co.za, it is believed that the car washer didn’t know how to drive an automatic vehicle. The car shot forward, running Belinda over and crashing in to a Wendyhouse on the property.
Belinda’s fiancé , Corné Hitge, wrote a heartbreaking message on his Facebook page which reads, “Let my son rest softly at Your feet, Lord, and please help my darling through this time. Amen.”
It is believed that the baby would have been due on Friday.
Belinda is not out of danger just yet either. A family spokesperson says that Belinda was badly injured. The accident broke a wrist, six ribs, her pelvic bone and injured her pancreas, one lung and her kidneys. According to the source, on Monday afternoon Belinda was still unaware that her baby had died.
What a tragic accident. Our thoughts go out to this devastated family.
