5 things we love about the new Toyota Aygo X-Cite
Recently WOW’s editor, Juliet McGuire, spent a short time with the new Toyota Aygo X-Cite and she had quite a lot of good things to say about it! “If I was a student with R189 500, this is what I would buy!” says Juliet.
Watch her quick video review here.
After driving the new Aygo X-Cite for a few days I got to experience it for myself and I have to say that I agree with her sentiments. It really is a great new car, especially considering its value-for-money.
5 things we love about the new Toyota Aygo X-Cite
- Affordability
These days, brand new cars don’t come cheap, even when you’re looking in the ‘budget-buys’ category. What we love about the new Toyota Aygo X-Cite is that for R189 500, you get a brand new car that looks good, drives well and won’t leave you strapped for cash at the pumps thanks to its 1-litre VVT-i petrol engine.
2. The Aygo goes topless
As Capeonians who enjoy our sunny summer days driving along the peninsula, we love the Aygo’s X-Cite’s retractable canvas roof! The full-length X-Cite canvas roof is factory-fitted and electrically-operated with a switch next to the map light control in the headlining. Got friends sitting in the back? The retractable roof folds all the way back to ensure that even those in the back can enjoy the fresh air with you!
3. Substantial features
The X-Cite comes standard with Vehicle Stability Control, LED daytime running lights, 15″ alloy wheels, SRS Airbags (Driver + Passenger +Side + Curtain) and short pole Antenna. That’s a lot as standard when you consider other cars in that price range!
4. Two-tone interior
The Aygo is known for its original style and flair and the X-Cite brings even more character to the model line-up with a stylish two-tone interior! The mix of piano black and soft cream interior makes the X-Cite feel premium as well as stylish inside.
5. Stylish and bold exterior
Characterised by the familiar Piano Black, its famous colour scheme dominates the X at the car’s front end and gives it a bold and noticeable presence on the road! It’s got that glossy and elegant finish to it and makes it look a lot more premium than most budget-buy cars.
Pricing
As we already mentioned, the X-Cite is available at R189, 500 but if you’re looking for less, then then entry-level Aygo is available at R159, 100 while the Aygo X-Cite Black comes in at R161 500
