Arnold Schwarzenegger wants a Toyota i-Road
Last time we told you that Arnold Schwarzenegger sold his Mercedes-Benz Unimog… Now we know why. It is because of the Terminator star’s latest ”green trend”.
Arnold Schwarzenegger owns several off-road rides, including a couple of Hummers. But Schwarzenegger is not your typical car-owner, considering he is also an environmental advocate.
As Arnold Schwarzenegger founded the R20 Regions of Climate Action community, the 67-year famous actor recently took a trip to Paris to check out the world’s newest vehicles and to talk about the environment. And while at it, he also checked out Toyota’s solution to green urban transportation, the i-Road – Toyota’s electric three-wheeler. As we mentioned in our last article about this electric three-wheeler, Grenoble will be the first city in Europe to adopt Toyota’s i-Road leaning micro-car as part of a car-sharing program similar to the original one in Japan
However, Schwarzenegger doesn’t plan to get rid of the rest of his really big cars. He claims people can both ”drive big cars and keep the planet green”. This is why he even adapted one of his Hummers to run on hydrogen and another to run on biofuels.
Just think about it, if he was still the mayor of California, Schwarzenegger would have every Hollywood star riding around in Toyota i-Roads or making their Range Rovers run on hydrogen (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing).
