Team Football Flava to represent Kia Motors SA at Champs World Finals in Russia
In conjunction with its global partnership to FIFA and as one of the main sponsors of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup 2017™ in Russia, Kia Motors will again host the Kia Champ into the Arena World Finals in Russia this June.
After a closely contested local final on Sunday, 7 May 2017, football team Football Flava will be representing Kia Motors South Africa in the World Finals.
The regional tournaments launched in Johannesburg on 9 April 2017, with teams KSF and Dudu’s 5 making it through to the finals. Durban Boyz and Football Flava were the two teams who reached the finals held on 23 April at Stella Action Soccer Arena in Glenwood, Durban. The remaining two teams joining these four teams at the national finals was decided on 29 April at Hellenic Greek Club in Cape Town (Sea Point), with winners Just Our Style and Kalusta FC making it through.

Sunday’s round robin stages were closely contested with several matches drawing goalless at the end of an intensely fought 20 minutes one way. The final though saw the Johannesburg team Dudu’s 5 challenge Durban winners Football Flava for the coveted title. An action-packed 20 minutes saw Football Flava slot two goals past Dudu’s 5, resulting in the team taking the win!

- Durban Boyz (KZN)
- Football Flava (JHB based, but reached the finals at the KZN leg)
- Just Our Style (CPT)
- Kalusta FC (CPT)

The team will depart for Sochi, Russia, at the end of June 2017. In the run-up to the World Finals, the team will benefit from a one-on-one coaching session from the Kia Champ into the Arena ambassador, the legendary Gavin Hunt.
