Highlights of the Canal Walk Motor Show
We always get excited about Motor Shows, especially when they’re close to home, and the last weekend (21 – 25 September 2017) the Canal Walk Motor Show certainly didn’t let us down in terms of expectations.
With a number of exciting vehicles, both old and new, organisers of the show managed to get some super exciting pieces of machinery on display. The main attractions, featured in Canal Walk’s food court arena, included the likes of the Audi R8 V10 Coupe, the Lexus LC 500 Coupe, and the Mustang Perana, to name a few. Among these were some classic icons like the 1953 Porsche 356, a 1963 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud 2 V8 and a 1965 Ford Mustang GT350!
It wasn’t easy to walk away from the arena, but the excitement didn’t end there! Down almost every aisle of Canal Walk’s shopping centre was a stream of new and popular cars available in today’s market. From the new Peugeot 3008 SUV to the Mini Cooper Countryman, exhibitors including nearly every brand that comes to mind.

While marveling at some of the hottest new cars on offer was one highlight of the Motor Show, visitors could also stand a chance to win a Suzuki Ignis GL by logging on to Canal Walk’s WIFI. The winner will be announced in October some time.
The squad of the BMW South African Club displayed a park-off on the centre’s roof top, but sadly we were two days late for this and missed it.
However, the Canal Walk Motor Show certainly proved to be a worthwhile affair and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year’s event!
