Peugeot Citroen South Africa Donate A New 208 Active To The Beeld Children’s Fund Competition
Peugeot South Africa will once again support the Beeld Children’s fund in 2017 with a brand new Peugeot 208 1.2 Active to the value of R224 900 as the key prize for the child welfare’s annual fundraising competition.
The vehicle giveaway competition has been a fundamental element of the Beeld Children’s Fund’s fundraising activities.
The fund was established in 1977 and has consecutively taken an active role in improving the lives of children in need, for the past 40 years.
Peugeot has been a proud supporter of the fund donating a new car as the prize for the past eight years.
“No matter how big or small, all donations make a difference. Giving back is important to us. We are happy that we can contribute towards helping to create a better and brighter future for those less fortunate” says Francisco Gaie, MD of Peugeot Citroen South Africa.
In 2016, over 50 000 competition entries were received for the vehicle raising in excess of R1.2 million for the fund, the proceeds of which benefit 12 child-focused charities including several children’s homes, shelters, day care and after-school care centres.
The proceeds of tickets sales to the public benefitted nearly 40 other charities assisting those less fortunate.
“It is important to care for and protect the children of South Africa, and we are proud of our long association with the Beeld Children’s Fund, and hope that our support of the competition will continue to improve the lives of many children in need.” Francisco concluded.
The Beeld Children’s Fund Car Competition is now open for entries. To enter, make a donation of R30 by sending an SMS with the word PEUGEOT to 41511. Entries close on 3 November 2017, and the winners will be drawn the next day, and announced in Beeld on 5 November.
More information on the competition can be found on the Beeld-Kinderfonds Facebook page.
