Volkswagen recognises Top Dealers at local Grand Prix Awards
Annually Volkswagen South Africa honours the hard work of its dedicated Dealer Network who never cease in their endeavours to make Volkswagen the reputable brand that it is. This year was certainly no different.
Volkswagen recently announced and celebrated the 2016 winners of the Grand Prix Awards. The black-tie event, themed “For the Love of Performance”, celebrated those who strive to perform at their highest level and lead the way for the rest to follow.
With 27 award categories and over 120 winners, the event acknowledged and rewarded all those who performed at their peak.

Brad Kaftel from the Hatfield Group, won the Dealer Micro Group of the Year award for the third year in a row. This award requires the Group to have a minimum of two dealerships contributing a minimum of 2% towards the Volkswagen Dealer Sales result
Barloworld’s unrelenting spirit ensured that they maintained their position as Dealer Macro Group of the Year. The requirements for this award are the group must contribute at least 8% towards the Volkswagen Dealer Sales result.
Venerson Sinivasan from Barons Bruma walked away with Dealer of the Year award. The Dealer of the Year award is given to the Dealership that delivers the best and most consistent overall results across the business. The Dealership must represent the values of the Volkswagen Brand at the highest level.

The coveted Diamond Pin was handed over to Geo Nel from McCarthy Volkswagen Parow. Nel boasts an admirable 16 years of operational excellence in the Volkswagen Brand.
“The dedication and commitment shown by all category finalists to make Volkswagen Brand the icon that we know it is, is phenomenal. I look forward to even greater achievements in 2017,” said Thomas Schaefer, Volkswagen Group South Africa Chairman and Managing Director.
