2016 Lexus GS gets a bold new design and goes turbo!

The Lexus GS enters 2016 with a bolder design and new 2.0l turbo engine. As well as a a new GS 200t EX rear-wheel drive model, taking refinement up a notch.

The Lexus GS continues to feature impressive agility and sporty handling for twist and turns as well as comfortable ride quality for extended highway driving.

This is no modest mid-size luxury sedan. The engaging performance and amenities make the GS 200t and the GS 350 F-Sport excellent choices for delighting enthusiast drivers as well as luxury connoisseurs.

The new Lexus GS 200t EX model has a 2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and eight-speed automatic transmission. Restyled front end with bolder Lexus spindle grille and Bi-LED headlights, and revised tail lamps and rear bumper treatments. Standard Navigation for both GS 200t and GS 350 F-Sport and a larger 4.2-inch multi-information display puts vital vehicle data at a quick glance in driver’s line of sight.

Further trim enhancements include new high-prestige metal ornamentation to the gear shift lever, steering wheel, air vents, door handles and switchgear. The seat upholstery features a new design incorporating a horizontally quilted back panel and a new side stitching pattern.

The new 2-litre turbo engine delivers 180kW and 380Nm, giving the GS 200t outstanding all-around performance and efficiency. Acceleration from 0-100km/h is 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 230km/h.

In the GS 350 F-Sport, a more muscular 3.5-litre V6 is retained and is also paired with the eight-speed automatic. The V6’s combination of direct fuel injection andadditional port fuel injectors ensures ample power and crisp responsiveness across the rpm band. The GS 350 F-Sport sprints from 0-100km/h in 6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 235km/h.
