Arctic Trucks release new Toyota Hilux AT35

Icelandic company Arctic Trucks, known for producing limited edition revamped models of existing 4×4 vehicles to be used in extreme or challenging conditions, has revealed its latest powerhouse: the revamped Toyota Hilux AT35.

Their new version of the Toyota Hilux AT35 is now for sale in Europe and features extensive chassis and design upgrades.

“The Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT35 has been developed using direct experience gained through decades of operation in some of the harshest and most challenging conditions in the world,” Arctic Trucks says on their website. “The Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT35 is completely re-engineered, incorporating significant enhancements to the body, drivetrain, suspension, wheels, tyres and bodywork.”

Not only is the bakkie’s frame re-designed, it comes complete with 17-inch Arctic Trucks alloy wheels with 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tyres.

Then there are the rear dampers with extended shackles, producing an extra 40mm of front and 20mm of rear suspension lift. The already roaring 2.8 GD-6 turbodiesel engine now produces 150kW and 500N.

The retail price is £18 780 (about R384 008) and it retains its Toyota factory warranty.
