Audi S7 Sportback available in SA

Audi has officially launched its new S7 Sportback in South Africa, and prices start at a cool R1 500 500. Shipping comes standard with the German manufacturer’s five-year/100 000km maintenance plan.

The 2,9-litre V6 petrol engine is turbo-charged, which outputs 331 kW and 600 N.m. All this is delivered on four wheels and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It has a top speed of 250km/h, and takes 4.6 seconds to go from stationary to 100km/h.

The new S7 Sportback also features a 48 V mild-hybrid system with a belt alternator starter and a 10 Ah lithium‑ion battery capable of recovering up to 8 kW of power.

The 21-inch alloy wheels come standard, together with a 12,3-inch Audi virtual cockpit MMI navigation plus, four-zone automatic air-conditioning, the automaker’s latest twin-stacked touchscreens, a posh Bang & Olufsen sound system and a panoramic glass sunroof.

S sport suspension is included in the price. However, there is also the option of adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering and a rear-sited sport differential.
