BMW reveals more about new i4 electric sedan

BMW is assuring customers that its first electric sedan will be worth the money. In a recent YouTube video, the BMW Group revealed the new look and feel for the electric vehicle.

The i4 will use the same body as the 4 Series Gran Coupe. In the video, i4 project manager David Alfredo Ferrufino Camacho is seen taking the car out for a test drive around a track. He explains how a key feature is the seamless, buttery smooth steering customers can expect from this new electric offering. In addition, he showed off the car’s impressive drifting ability.

“The BMW i4 conveys the feeling of being light and agile yet also solid and authoritative,” Camacho told CarBuzz “With its superior directional reliability and high level of cornering stability, it seems to literally attach itself to the road. All-electric vehicles are capable of fast straight-line acceleration. But that’s not enough for us at BMW.”

The car will have up to 530 horsepower, a 0-100km/h time of 4 seconds, and a range of 600 km, making it perfect for both city life and a decent road trip.

Sales of the car are only expected in the United States at the end of 2021, with no word yet on whether it will be made available in South Africa.
