Chevrolet Cruze gets a surprising award
The Chevrolet Cruze doesn’t really attract much attention so Chevrolet must be over the moon that the Cruze has won such an inspiring award – and this is also the very first time that the Cruze has won such an award.
The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze captured the most votes among 48 cars selected for this year’s competition and was therefore awarded the 2014 Fleet Car of the Year accolade in the United States, sponsored by Automotive Fleet and Business Fleet magazines. The purpose of the award is to promote excellence in the fleet industry, particularly of the tools and vehicles that allow fleet managers to fulfil their missions. Vehicles were voted upon by qualified fleet professionals via an online ballot.
Chevrolet Brand Manager at General Motors South Africa, Tim Hendon, comments: “This accolade means a great deal to us, where in South Africa, fleets form an important portion of Cruze sales. On a global level, Cruze continues to be a strong player in the C-segment sedan market.”
