Ford launches Pass app and modem in South Africa

Ford has launched its FordPass modem and app in South Africa. This means all-new Ford ranger models will have more integrated command and control functions right on their phone.

“FordPass Connect makes life simpler and easier and, as Ford South Africa’s best-selling vehicle – which is locally produced at the Silverton Assembly Plant in Pretoria – it is the first to offer this innovative technology as standard,” the company told MyBroadband.

Only models produced from 2021 will get the offering standard. These include the Ford Ranger XL, XLS, XLT, Wildtrak, FX4, and Ranger Raptor.

-Fuel Status

-Remote lock and unlock

-Car Finder

-Car health alerts

-Car pre-cool and pre-heat remote start
