BMW has officially been classified as ”cool” by winning more than one category at the Sunday Times Generation Next 2014 awards ceremony. This awards ceremony was held last week at Monte Casino, Johannesburg, to recognise the brand preferences and consumer behaviour of the South Africa’s youth. BMW received the title of “Coolest Motor Vehicle Brand” ahead of all other car brands. BMW also scooped up the exciting award of ”Coolest Brand Overall” by beating brands such as Nike and Coca Cola.
Earlier this year BMW South Africa emerged as the top selling premium car brand for the fourth consecutive year, and the seventh year out of the last 10 years, in the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA) 2013 sales results.
“We are thrilled to receive this accolade, which reaffirms that we are not only the leading provider of premium products and services for individual mobility, but among the most aspirational brands in the world,” says Mr Bodo Donauer, Managing Director at BMW South Africa.
So, if you drive a BMW, you’re probably the coolest kid on the block.
