Italian police use Lamborghini to transport donor organs
Italian police have put the pedal to the metal in a race to save lives.
Using one of the finest sports cars on the market, the Italian-created Lamborghini Huracan V10, officials were able to transport donor organs across 480km from Rome to Padua in just over two hours.
The supercar was donated to the Italian police in 2017, according to Car Advice. It is only made use of for medical emergencies when a helicopter is unavailable or not fit for the emergency.
The car allegedly reached a top speed of 250km/h a number of times on the journey, while on freeway sections.
In this particular event, the organs were kept in the nose of the Lamborghini Huracan, inside a chilled medical container. Take a look at the hand off below.
