Jaguar I-Pace is first all-electric Nürburgring Race eTaxi
Jaguar is the first manufacturer to offer customers an all-electric eTaxi experience around the famous Nurburgring Norschleife circuit in Germany. Fans, petrol-heads, and thrill-seekers can now experience the electrifying performance of the Jaguar I-Pace with a professional driver behind the wheel.
The zero-emission model can accelerate from 0-100km in 4.8 seconds thanks to the 90 kW lithium-ion battery, which produces 294 kW and 696 Nm of torque.
The electric SUV can handle any weather conditions around the 20.8 km, 73-corner Nordschleife thanks to its all-wheel-drive system (AWD) and dynamic handling abilities; the 2019 World Green Car of the year will be able to cope with anything the ‘Green Hell’ has to offer.
The introduction of the first all-electric Race eTaxi is another step for Jaguar’s electrification strategy as it enables more people to experience the award-winning I-PACE.
With the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team preparing for the fourth season in Formula E, this proves that Jaguar is no stranger to electric race cars.
Jaguar has completed its inaugural season of the I-Pace eTrophy, the first all-electric competition of its kind in the world featuring a grid of close-production I-Pace racers.
Since its launch in 2018, the I-Pace has won multiple awards including the aforementioned 2019 World Car of the Year, European Car of the year, and German Car of the Year.
