Jaguar’s all-new, refined F-PACE SVR makes SA debut
It’s faster, more dynamic, and more refined than ever before, the all-new Jaguar F-PACE SVR has made its debut on our local shores.
The new F-PACE SVR is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine that delivers 405 kW with 700 Nm of torque that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
According to Motorpress, its powertrain features the same torque converter that is used in the Jaguar XE Project 8 super sedan and Jaguar’s All-Wheels-Drive (AWD) with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics comes fitted as standard.
The Adaptive Dynamics suspension technology ensures a dynamic and comfortable drive, while the Configurable Dynamics provides enhanced driver appeal, enabling the driver to set up the vehicle to suit their personal preferences.
A stopwatch, G-Meter and pedal graph also help the driver to monitor performance in Dynamic mode.
The steering system features a new electronic power-assistance system that delivers immediacy, providing a connection between the vehicle and the driver.
Drivers may also benefit from an improved brake feel in the new F-PACE SVR. The 395 mm (front) and 396 mm (rear) two-piece brakes disk are supported by a new Integrated Power Booster, along with a recalibration of the stem, delivering a sportier, but shorter brake pedal.
Let’s talk about the exterior
The design of the new F-PACE SVR was inspired by SV’s motorsport experience. Its enhanced airflow and aerodynamics are delivered through new apertures and vents that improve the powertrain and brake cooling.
The dynamic, assertive design is more compelling than ever before. A Black Pack option is available for the first time. In place of the Satin Grey of the SV Exterior Pack, a dramatic Gloss Black finish is applied to the grille surround, bonnet louvres, front bumper apertures, sill trims, rear valance, and last but not least, the rear badges.
The new Gloss Black stands out even more with its 22-inch ‘Style 5117’ forged wheels with a Gloss Black finish and Satin Technical Grey inserts.
What about the cabin?
The interior of the new F-PACE SVR has been redesigned. Seat and door inserts are finished in Alcantara, while elements such as the central cuber and leather midroll are wrapped in luxurious Windsor leather.
The 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display is wrapped in Alcantara with ebony stitching, while aluminium patterned finishers feature as standard with carbon fibre available as an option.
It has optional slimline semi-aniline leather sports seats with a heritage logo-inspired diamond embroidery across the front shoulder section, a unique perforation across the backrest. The SVR logo on the headrest adds an extra dash of sportiness.
Jaguar’s new Drive Selector has a more performance-focused feel for the F-PACE SVR. It is finished in leather with heritage logo-inspired detailing and the SVR logo.
The new SVR split-rim steering wheels has shift paddles, providing more driver engagement without being distracted while making manual gear changes.
Technology
The new F-PACE SVR features all of the advanced technology found in the latest F-PACE models – ensuring it always stays connected and remains up-to-date for enhanced driver convenience.
These include a Pivi Pro infotainment with an all-new 11.4-inch HD curved glass touchscreen, Software-Over-Air capability, Active Road Noise Cancellation, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and optional wireless device charging.
The new Jaguar F-PACE SVR is available in South Africa now with a starting price of R1.835 700. All Jaguar vehicles come with a standard 5-year/100,000km Jaguar Care Plan and warranty.
