Land Rover introduces value-packed Discovery to SA
Hip, hip hooray!! Land Rover SA has introduced a new engine for their versatile Discovery SUV. Land Rover has packaged 50 units with additional features to serve as value-packed but still affordable to the Discovery range.
The units are based on the popular Discovery SE package which comes standard with stunning LED headlights. The package has rain-sensing wipers, 10-speaker enhanced sound system, terrain response, leather seats, an infotainment system with navigation and Apple CarPlay and add-ons as optional.
With all these luxurious standard items are an added sunroof, roof rails, power inner tailgate and keyless entry. The interior benefits from third-row seating, a centre console cooler, and second seating row USB ports.
The Discovery now boasts Land Rover’s SD4 Ingenium diesel engine that delivers 177 kW with 430 Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The seven-seater is able to go from 0 – 100 km in 8.7 seconds with an average fuel consumption of 6.4-litre / 100 km.
The Discovery will be available in either Fuji white or Indus silver. Pricing starts from R 1 240 700 and includes Land Rover’s standard 5-year / 100 000 km maintenance plan and warranty.
