Lexus SA selects M&C Saatchi Abel as its new ad agency
Lexus South Africa has selected Johannesburg-based M&C Saatchi Abel as it creative agency overseeing advertising. During the search process, the automaker says that Lexus SA was exposed to an extremely strong field of agencies who illustrated outstanding thinking and passion for its brand.
The decision to invite M&C Saatchi Abel on board was based on the agency’s committed leadership, unique understanding of the Lexus brand and a good track record of their innovative work. Calvyn Hamman, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Toyota South Africa Motors says, “We’re confident that the partnership between Lexus and M&C Saatchi Abel will be both mutually beneficial and rewarding for years to come.”
Hamman adds that 2017 was a busy year for Lexus, with key events including the launch of the brand’s new tagline, “Experience Amazing”, as well as the introduction of the brand’s breathtaking Grand Tourer, LC 500. “The announcement of our partnership with M&C Saatchi Abel is one of many good things to come form Lexus this year, including the much anticipated launch of our flagship sedan. With the brand about to embark on a new hourney with M&C Saatchi Abel, the Lexus team is anticipating even more exciting times ahead. Jacques Burger, founding partner at M&C Saatchi, notes that automotive brands are a natural fit within the agency stable. “It’s no secret that many of our teams are car fanatics. The automotive industry is one that instinctively excites us. As individuals, we have a long history of developing some of our most iconic car communication in South Africa.”
