For the first time in its 100-year history, the Italian brand produces two concurrent four-door sedan models – the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte. These models have been manufactured to a new benchmark in quality standards, at its new state-of-the-art production facilities in Grugliasco, Italy.
Maserati’s long time tradition of naming cars after the names of winds is the reason for the unusual name. “Ghibli” originates from hot and dry, dust-bearing desert winds – descending from the interior highlands of Libya, towards the sea.
