Combine Mercedes-Benz and a culinary event – this is what you get
South Africans are passionate about good food and they’re increasingly interested in the intricacies that go into creating each chef’s signature dish. This is why Mercedes-Benz East Rand, part of the Imperial Auto group, hosted its first culinary event as part of the AMG Performance Tour at its Bedfordview lifestyle showroom. Guests were invited to celebrate the AMG philosophy of ‘the best or nothing’ in an evening that offered the finest of the culinary and motoring worlds – including a sneak peak of the yet-to-be-launched Mercedes-Benz S63 Coupe AMG.
Renowned chefs Jackie Cameron, Rudi Liebenberg and Bertus Basson created the three courses of a meal that linked the very best of what AMG stands for to everyday dining. Their edgy, innovative cuisine, and their passionate approach to creating remarkable works of culinary art matches perfectly with the AMG philosophy which lauds master-craftsmanship and innovation, elevating the AMG Performance Tour even further to be a memorable lifestyle experience.
All Mercedes-Benz East Rand clients who had purchased an AMG vehicle since 2010 were invited to the event, as well as any clients who had purchased a Mercedes-Benz vehicle in the last year. With a final guest list of more than 250 people, the event proved to be immensely popular as a relationship-building and networking opportunity, spiced up with the exclusive opportunity to see the Mercedes-Benz S63 Coupe AMG for the first time in South Africa. They could also get up-close-and-personal with the remarkable Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG, an all-rounder high-performance SUV.
