Petrol price expected to decrease in December

Great news for travellers planning road trips for December, the price of petrol is expected to decrease again ahead of the festive season.

Mid-month data released by the Central Energy Fund on Monday [November 16] revealed that a possible decrease of about 35 cents per litre for petrol, and a minimal five cents per litre for diesel, is on the cards.

The strengthening rand/dollar exchange rate is to thank for the positive prediction, which is subject to change.

Currently, the cost of petrol is R14,62 p/l and diesel costs R14,12 p/l.
