Peugeot bakes a life-sized RCZ cake for a cause
Wow, Peugeot South Africa had this awesome idea to bake a life-sized Peugeot RCZ cake at the Good Food and Wine show to support the Meals on Wheels community services and Shammah House for Abandoned and Abused Children this past Saturday.
The life-sized RCZ cake was baked by chef Paul Vieira, owner and creator of Cake Extreme, and driver of a “real” RCZ. Some of the cake ingredients included 300 kg of cake flower, 4000 eggs, 15 kg baking powder and 200 kg sugar- now that’s a load of ingredients!
The car cake was cut into approximately 10 000 pieces and sold to guests at the show to raise money for Meals on Wheels. The left over cake was also offered to various charities afterwards. The ”Cake Boss”, Buddy Valastro, also came through to have a look at the life size Peugeot. Persons could also show their support by donating money through a SMS. We think what Peugeot did to help raise funds for charities is just awesome!
