Peugeot launches E-Sales center
While aiming to revolutionise the car-buying industry in South Africa, Peugeot claims to have made it easier and more affordable to customers since launching its E-Sales centre.
“At the launch of the new 308 range in March 2015, we began the first step of this programme by introducing the “We Come To You” campaign, says Francis Harnie, the managing director of Peugeot Citroën South Africa. “We are now fortunate enough to enter the second stage of this programme, by announcing the opening of our E-Sales Centre.”

“Taking this step forward, we have to look at new ways of doing business. More and more people shop online, and we need to realign our business operation to be able to meet this demand. Our website gets a substantial amount of traffic, showing public interest in our products. Survey statistics recently revealed that in this day and age, a customer physically visits only two dealers before making their buying decision, whereas in the past many more dealers were visited.”
According to the CEO of PCSA the E-Sales centre will be staffed by highly trained personnel while their sole objective is to make life easier for both existing and potential buyers.
What more does the E-Sales centre offer?
- A full service, including arranging a test drive, handling trade in, providing information of all aspects of the deal, including finance and insurance.
- Licencing and other road costs are included in quotes.
While the role of existing dealers will no doubt change, their sales will still be made and Peugeot believes that the potential for sales will increase due to addition leads obtained through the E-Sales centre. Dealers will also be involved with taking trade-ins and then retailing these cars.
“We believe that we have made huge strides to change the perception of Peugeot in the eyes of South African motorists by being competitive with pricing while staying in line with competitors. Our greatest intention is to ensure that each and every customer is placed exclusively in the middle of all interactions that he or she experiences with our brand, thereby, creating an exclusive and delightful customer experience,” concluded Harnie.
