This Sunday, 13th September 2015, at the Zwartkops kart circuit, Pretoria – twelve corporate teams will compete to raise funds for the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre.
Do you know how your car engine works?
Teams from RAM Automotive, Team Snake Pit, three teams from Bridgestone SA, two from Jaguar Land Rover and four others will all be taking part, raising funds for a good cause! Last year’s Kiehl’s Charity Cheetah Karting Day was the most successful event they’ve had, raising over R45,000 for the Cheetah Centre.
Among these competitors are a number of well-known personalities, singers Kurt Darren and Andre Venter have both previously taken part in these fund-raising events. The race for the renowned ‘bronze floating trophy’ has become a feature on the racing and social calender!
For the spectators – PlayStation SA will again provide PS4 consoles to entertain them between races. Bridgestone, RAM Automotive and others will also be donating prizes – adding to the prestige of winning and attaining a podium position on race day!
The race entails a 2 hour endurance run – from 10h00 to 12h00 – with pit stops every 15 minutes for driver changes. The race is always close and exciting, with lots of passing and quick laps. The team from RAM Automotive currently holds the trophy.
Yeats is one of the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre’s Ambassador Cheetahs and is also Clare Vale’s adopted Cheetah. He will come through to personally thank the competitors after the prize giving and help promote the excellent work done for over fifty years at the Cheetah Centre.
