Refreshed Jaguar F-PACE now available in South Africa

Refreshed exterior styling, all-new interior, new engine options – Jaguar’s new F-PACE is now available in South Africa. The award-winning SUV now has a new bonnet and Jaguar’s heritage logo features on the enlarged grille.

The front bumper boasts redesigned air intakes and dark mesh detail for an even more striking dynamic presence. Super slim all-LED quad headlights features with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) (available with optional Pixel LED technology) that delivers better resolution and brightness.

According to Motorpress, the Adaptive Driving Beam evaluates the road you are travelling on and automatically adjusts the high beam lights to shine towards oncoming traffic and traffic signs by selecting different LED segments to optimise visibility without distracting any other drivers.

The premium LED technology is fitted standard across the entire range and is available with Auto High Beam Assist on SE and HSE derivatives, while the Animated Directional Indicators are also available on all models.

A refreshed rear bumper designed and new tailgate adds to the F-PACE’s appearance. All models are available with the additional black exterior pack with bespoke elements finish in gloss black.

Interior

The new interior features a 11.4-inch curved-glass HD Pivi Pro touchscreen. Wood veneers and aluminium feature in the upper door insert and full width ‘Piano lid’ across the instrument panel.

The centre console has a wireless charger and a great amount of storage capacity, while the new drive selector is finished with cricket ball stitching. Door handles have 360-degree handles offering easy access with more storage for bottles and other items. The electric window switches have moved down for easier reach of occupants.

What about the tech?

The latest Pivi Pro infotainment system can be accessed through the 11.4-inch curved glass HD touchscreen. The infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – allowing customers to connect two phones at once via Bluetooth.

A 12.3-inch HD Interactive Drive Display shows a full-screen navigation map, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details. The latest Head-up Display technology gives drivers all relevant information without any distraction. New Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) ensures the software in this elegant SUV remains updated without visiting your local dealer.

Active Road Noise Cancellation technology monitors vibration caused by the road surface and calculates the sound wave needed to remove the noise heard inside by occupants. The new F-PACE includes the latest driver assistance technology including – Clear Exit Monitor that alerts both front and rear occupants that a car or cyclist is approaching the car when they are trying to get out. The F-PACE also has the latest 3D Surround Camera technology.

Power

The F-PACE will be available in SA with two diesel and three petrol engine options, featuring intelligent all-wheel-drive, mated to a 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Diesel choices are as follows: 

147kW/430Nm D200 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium

D300 3.0-litre in-line six cylinder diesel producing 221 kW and 700 Nm

Petrol engine options includes: 

2.0-litre four-cylinder P250 Ingenium engine with 184 kW and 365 Nm an entry point to the petrol range, while a new

3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder P400 boasts outputs of 294kW and 550Nm thanks to its mild-hybrid (MHEV) system.

The system features the latest engine technologies that includes a electric supercharger supported by a twin scroll turbocharger and Continuous Variable Valve Lift (CVVL)

A new 2.0-litre four-cylinder plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model produces a combined 297kW and 640Nm from its petrol engine and 105kW electric motor that is powered by a 17.1kWh lithium-ion battery.

When fully charged, the new PHEV is capable of up to 53km of all-electric driving. All engines are paired with Jaguar’s eight-speed automatic gearbox, which can be controlled using the steering wheel shift paddles.
