SA’s first lady in racing, Clare Vale, is taking on Zwartkops Raceway
Clare Vale is one of South Arica’s most profound women in car racing, and this weekend sees the V8 Supercar series travel to the Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria. Joining them will be Clare Vale in her Liqui-Moly Mustang. The Phakisa round saw Clare have an extremely unlucky weekend, with fuel issues in race 1 and a puncture in race 2 ruining what could have been a great result in Welkom. She showed good speed throughout the weekend, culminating in a front row start for race 2. She’ll be looking to take these improvements to Zwartkops and will push for a good result.
Clare Vale on the upcoming race: ”We had some bad luck in Welkom but I really enjoyed the weekend. Thanks to Franco di Matteo, the Liqui-Moly Mustang now has a fantastic set up and should be very competitive at Zwartkops. The V8 Supercars always get enthusiastic support from the crowd and I’m looking forward to a great weekend of racing!”
