SA’s first Project Runway winner drives off in Lexus CT 200h
Project Runway South Africa season one announced their much-deserved winner Kentse Masilo in their last episode at the end of September. Lexus congratulates Kentse on her big win and wishes her all the best in her fashion career, which has officially kicked off on a high.
Kentse impressed judges and viewers alike and was a strong contender in the competition, winning four of the set challenges.
As part of Kentse’s prize package from various fashion and lifestyle sponsors; Lexus gave her a Lexus CT 200h to make sure she has the sleekest set of eco-friendly wheels to get around town. The car combines a sophisticated urban look with unique Lexus craftsmanship and the most advanced hybrid technologies.
The CT 200h boasts exclusive luxury touches, comprising exquisitely finished leather, advanced safety features and flawless paintwork in a bi-tone colour scheme – Titanium Black and a Grey roof. Exceptional driving comfort and efficient hybrid performance is a given in the CT 200h. In near-silent Electric Vehicle mode, it uses no petrol, produces zero emissions and, because it’s a Lexus Hybrid, never needs plugging in to recharge.
Lexus is a proud partner of Project Runway South Africa (in association with Mzansi Magic and Ndalo Pictures) and their affiliation with fashion is a match made in heaven. There’s a common link between bespoke fashion design and creativity with unique craftsmanship which Lexus masters very well.
“We would like to officially congratulate Kentse on her win. We are confident she’ll go from strength to strength and make South Africa proud even on the international fashion stage”, says Glenn Crompton, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Lexus South Africa.
About Project Runway South Africa
Project Runway is a premier fashion competition which focuses on designing garments and real stars from top-notch fashion talent. Twelve passionate, aspiring fashion designers lived together for a two months where they competed in weekly challenges that stretched their creativity, resilience, design and practical skills.
The contestants were judged by a panel of top fashion personalities who decided who remained in the competition until the final three were announced for the finale. The show aired on Mzansi Magic (DSTV channel 161) from July until October. Lexus was happy to be the official transport provider for the contestants during their weekly challenges.
