Subaru offers up two new versions of the famous Forester

Subaru Forester is a much-loved car in South Africa and now the manufacturer is bringing out two new derivatives.

These include the 2.5 Sport ES model and the 2.5-S ES model.

2.5 Sport ES 

Featuring an engine which produces 136 kW and 239 Nm, which is an increase over the lower 2.0 version. This sporty model has five body colours with orange and black accents and water-repellent seat covers. It has a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Buying it outright, this new version costs R599 000.

2.5-S ES 

For those who don’t want the intensity of the sport model, Subaru has also released the standard body colour options for a little less flash. All the same specs without the intense colours.

It also costs a little more at R629 000. 

Both come with adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, blind-spot detection and smart high beam assist. There is also Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) and all-wheel-drive is on hand for safer all-weather, all surface stability and traction bringing technology.

There is also standard with a five-year/150 000km warranty and three-year/75 000km maintenance plan.

The new models are expected to arrive in the country in March.
