The Hyundai 1.1 Motion automatic
“We have identified the need for a well-priced entry-level hatchback in our range that is equipped with an automatic gearbox, specifically aimed at the urban commuter who has to grapple with high traffic volumes and stop-start driving. The excellent fuel consumption of the i10 1.1 Motion automatic will also appeal to potential customers who are looking for a second car in the family,” says Stanley Anderson, marketing director of Hyundai Automotive SA.
The car has a 1,1-litre four-cylinder engine and a claimed fuel consumption of 5,7 l/100km. The 1.1 Motion is mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox which makes this small hatchback easy to drive, and even easier to manoeuvre in the city.
The features of the car are the same as in the 1.1 Motion manual derivative, including Bluetooth connectivity for telephone calls and streaming music through the audio system; air-conditioner; fog lights in front; electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors; electric windows; and an intermittent function for the windscreen wipers. The steering wheel can tilt up or down, and includes remote controls. The boot is a rather small 225 litres but gets to 910 litres when the seats are down.
Hyundai Automotive SA’s standard 5 year/150 000 km warranty forms part of the standard i10 1.1 Motion automatic motoring package that is priced at R129 900.
