The new Volkswagen Tiguan
The new Volkswagen Tiguan that was introduced to the South African market in 2008, will be going on sale from July 1 2021. The launch of the new Tiguan will be supported with Virtual Reality (VR) technology and is available at 25 selected Volkswagen dealerships across the country.
According to Motorpress, Volkswagen was the first automotive brand in South Africa to introduce VR in their showrooms. At the moment, the Polo, T-Cross, T-Roc and Tiguan are all available in VR. The Golf 8 GTI will be available in VR too when it goes on sale in September 2021.
VR allows customers to learn more about the vehicle, its features, specifications as well as take it on various adventures. The Tiguan is the most technological advanced SUV in South Africa currently. The VR gives customers a real-time experience with night time driving offered by the IQ LIGHT LED matrix headlights.
Safety features like Lane Change Assist and Side Assist are also easily experienced using VR. Another feature available on VR is Emergency Braking with Front Assist. Customers can also drive Volkswagen’s newest SUV in iconic locations around South Africa.
