These guys get caught doing speeds you won’t believe
A 22-year-old man from Johannesburg was caught driving at a horrendous speed of 234 km/h on the N12 in Alberton in his Volkswagen Scirocco.
Ekurhuleni chief superintendent, Wilfred Kgasago, said: “The driver claimed he was rushing his younger brother to a soccer practice.”
In another instance a 25-year-old driver in a Ford was caught driving at a fast speed of 173km/h. He said he was “rushing to help a friend” who had been arrested for drunk driving.
Another driver in a Mini Cooper was caught speeding at 166km/h. Kgasago said, ” He claimed he was testing the power of his newly acquired toy.”
The drivers who were released after paying R1500 bail are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court in Alberton soon.
We wonder how much they would have gotten fined if they lived in Finland. Source: Wheels24
