Volvo Ocean Race Boats expected to arrive in Cape Town today
The Volvo Ocean Race fleet is speeding up and the estimated time of arrival in Cape Town has moved forward. At the moment, the boats are expected to start arriving today.
For all those who are closely following the race, it looks like the first three teams will be Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, Dongfeng Race Team and Team Brunel. These timings can still change, so please keep an eye on the tracker and dashboard.
The race boats will dock in Quay 6 – between Jetty 1 and 2 in the V&A Waterfront. The prize giving will take place on the nearest stage. There will be a cut-off area in front of the race boats’ dock for accredited media.
An arrivals press conference will be held in the Volvo Pavilion immediately post arrival for the 3 podium positions unless otherwise advised. Please remember that all timings are subject to change depending on the wind and speed of the boats.
