WATCH: All-new 2022 Renault Megane E-Tech Electric revealed
When I hear the word ‘Megane’, my thoughts are RS, sporty, and it is one of the most popular vehicles in Europe.
According to Motor1.com, the Megane model will be getting an entirely new look. Known as the Megane E-Tech Electric, the new crossover will weigh 1.624 kg and has the same CMF-EV modular electric platform as the Nissan Ariya.
The new electric model features 20-inch wheels and comes standard with flush door handles in front, while the rear has hidden handles in the quarter glass.
The dashboard is all-digital, with a 12.3-inch screen positioned in front of the driver and another 12-inch touchscreen as an infotainment system on higher-spec models.
Economical friendly? I’d say so. With a zero-emission drivetrain, the new all-electric Megane uses fabric upholstery made from recycled materials. Some of the lower parts on the dashboard are made from recycled plastic and overall, the vehicle will be 95% recyclable.
Its power is delivered by an electric motor with a total output of 96 kW with 250 Nm of torque and a top speed of 160 km/h. The electric motor gets its power from either a 40- or a 60-kWh battery pack.
The battery pack has an 8-year warranty and in case it does deteriorate to a level of 70%, Renault will replace it for free. The Renault Megane E-Tech Electric will be available to order from February 2022 and it set to go on sale in March 2022.
