Kia launches upgraded Sportage
The changes are by no means drastic, we see a slight enhancement to the exterior with a remoulded front grille, changes to the front fog lamps and lower bumper as well as newly designed 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior tweaks have been just as slight with soft padding on the upper trim of the door and a modified sound system.
The upgraded Sportage offers two engines; a 2,0 petrol engine and a more powerful 2,0 diesel engine. The old five-speed manual gearbox has been replaced with a six-speed transmission. Both engines are available with a six-speed automatic transmission.
This Sportage will be available in eight colours; clear white, bright silver, mineral silver, sand track, black cherry, vintage blue, signal red and sage green. All models come standard with a five-year/150 000 km warranty which is up from 100 00 km, as well as a five-year/100 000km service plan.
Pricing ranges from R309 995 for the 2,0-litre 2WD Ignite model up to R408 995 for the 2,0-litre CRDi Auto.
