This is the most dangerous road to drive on near Cape Town right now
Arrive Alive has warned that there has been an exponential increase in hijackings and other criminal activity on the R300 near Cape Town.
Most hijackers and attackers are targeting light passenger vehicles, but there’s also a great possibility that commercial vehicles can be targeted. In the latest attack a huge rock was reportedly thrown through a car’s windshield, striking the driver and dislocating his shoulder.
Our advice is to avoid the road where possible, especially at night or if you’re a woman driving alone as women are easier targets. However, if you can not avoid the R300, you need to have these emergency numbers on you at all times.
